False Claims Act Attorney Sarah Frazier Joins Murphy Anderson and Murphy Anderson Opens Houston Office

August 1, 2024

We are thrilled to announce that TAF attorney Sarah Frazier is joining Murphy Anderson PLLC’s whistleblower practice group.  Murphy Anderson is opening its Houston office today.

Murphy Anderson was founded on Labor Day 2008. We are a Washington D.C.-based labor,  employment, and whistleblower firm with 15 lawyers. In addition to Washington, Murphy Anderson has offices in Boston and Cincinnati.

Sarah joins Ann Lugbill, Mark Hanna and Nick Mendoza at Murphy Anderson’s thriving False Claims Act and whistleblower practice. Some recent victories include a hospice-care fraud case and a Small Business Administration case involving NASA contracts and fraudulent 8(a) set-asides. Other successful cases have involved military procurement, healthcare,  pharmaceutical, and prevailing-wage fraud cases.

Sarah has been representing False Claims Act whistleblowers for nearly 20 years. She is active in The Anti-Fraud Coalition (TAF) and a regular speaker at TAF conferences. Sarah Frazier began her FCA practice and rose to partner with Berg & Androphy. She founded her own firm in 2019. She is a tenacious litigator who has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for the government, including in hotly contested declined cases. She is experienced in technical regulatory areas ranging from Medicaid best price, Federal Acquisition Regulations, to cybersecurity. She regularly partners with TAF colleagues and serves as Texas local counsel. She is a program director and major script writer for the ABA False Claims Act Mock Trial Institute, a Council Member in the ABA Health Law Section, participates in the Health Law Section’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and is on the ABA’s Washington Health Law Sumit Planning Committee. She is an officer in the Houston Bar Association Health Law Section as well.

Murphy Anderson and Sarah Frazier first crossed paths representing relators in a case against Novo Nordisk alleging fraud in marketing of Victoza, a predecessor drug to Ozempic for diabetes (not weight loss). We learned to respect each other in our fierce but respectful advocacy for our clients and realized our shared commitment to the public interest.

Murphy Anderson attorneys understand the interconnection between whistleblowing, employment law, and labor law. We view qui tam whistleblowing as a way to right wrongs and promote good government. We have found that companies cheating workers, harming the environment, and taking advantage of consumers are also cheating the government.
