Murphy Anderson Represents SOX Whistleblower in Complaint Against Wells Fargo
March 2, 2018
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration approved the resolution of a whistleblower complaint against Wells Fargo Bank.
Murphy Anderson filed the complaint in 2017 on behalf of a former Wells Fargo employee. The complaint alleged that the employee had been denied numerous promotions in retaliation for reporting a coworker's unethical behavior to an internal ethics hotline, in violation of whistleblower protection provisions in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Consumer Financial Protection Act.
Murphy Anderson attorneys Mark Hanna and Roseann R. Romano represented the whistleblower in this matter.
