Maria Ortiz Pineda

Maria Ortiz Pineda is a George R. Murphy Fellow in our Washington office.

Maria is committed to representing workers and immigrant communities. During law school, she held two Peggy Browning Fellowships, with a union-side law firm and with the Communications Workers of America. She also interned at a civil-rights litigation firm in Northern Virginia and was a student attorney in the Elliott S. Milstein Civil Advocacy Clinic.

Before joining the firm, Maria was a Judy Lichtman Legacy Fund Fellow and a Georgetown Law Women's Law and Public Policy Fellow at the National Partnership for Women and Families. She is fluent in Spanish and grew up in Northern Virginia. Outside of work, Maria can be found in a workout class, hanging out with her dog, and diamond painting.
