Nicky Downs

Nicky Downs is a 2026-2027 George R. Murphy Public Interest Fellow.
Nicky graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2026. During law school, Nicky participated in Georgetown’s Appellate Courts Immersion Clinic, where he represented plaintiffs in public interest appellate litigation. Nicky also served as an Articles Editor for the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy and as a law fellow for the first-year legal practice course.
Nicky was a summer law clerk in the General Counsel’s Office at the American Federation of Government Employees in 2023. He spent his second summer in law school at a union-side firm in DC. When he’s not working Nicky can be found playing soccer, riding his bike, or exploring DC’s pizza scene.
